IT Support Engineer
My Client are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their team.
This role involves providing technical support to end-users and maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Manage and maintain network services, including DNS, DHCP, and server administration.
* Administer and troubleshoot Office 365 services and Azure, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
* Configure and support desktops, laptops, RDP, tablets, and mobile devices.
* Collaborate with application and system teams to maintain network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues to minimise downtime.
* Implement and maintain IT security measures, including antivirus software and firewalls.
* Develop and maintain documentation of network configurations and troubleshooting guides.
* Assist in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades and deployments.
* Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to IT security, Office 365, and server support.
* Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics.
* Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed.
* Resolve tickets within SLA and document troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.
* Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, Azure, and Office 365 services.
* Experience with network infrastructure components like routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical users.
* Knowledge of network patching, switches, and wireless installations.
* Strong focus on continuous improvement and personal development.
* Passion for technology and its application in business.
* Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Certifications in Azure Administration and Server Management.
* Eligible to work and reside in Ireland.
* Full-time on-site role, Monday to Friday.
