Job Overview:
The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and quality standards. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing all plant operations, ensuring adherence to production protocols and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all plant operations, ensuring compliance with production protocols and regulatory requirements
2. Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe working environment through proactive risk management and employee engagement
3. Ensure customer requirements and quality standards are consistently met by implementing effective process controls and continuous improvement initiatives
4. Manage labour resources, reviewing and approving workforce planning and performance metrics
5. Establish and track key production metrics to monitor plant performance and drive business growth
6. Lead, support, and manage direct reports, ensuring clear communication of responsibilities and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
7. Conduct and approve performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and fostering employee development and growth
8. Investigate accidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence
9. Oversee preventive maintenance compliance through facilities systems and equipment management
10. Monitor and verify inventory accuracy for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
11. Maintain compliance with industry standards, including ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and GMP regulations
12. Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste
13. Manage production performance, including manpower planning and resource allocation, to meet customer demand and exceed expectations
14. Analyse production data (e.g., downtime, waste, and non-conformances) to implement solutions and drive business growth
15. Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
* At least 5 years' experience in an injection moulding manufacturing facility or similar industry
* Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and driving operational improvements
* Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and best practices for process improvement
* Working knowledge of industry standards, including ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and GMP regulations
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as IQMS is a plus
* A BSc in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred; however, relevant industry experience and a strong commitment to the role are highly valued
