Product Security Lead- Limerick (4 Days Onsite)

Key Responsibilities
* Build, lead, and
mentor a high-performing cybersecurity engineering team
, including coaching junior engineers.
* Foster a collaborative, inclusive, growth-oriented team culture.
* Guide technical direction and ensure strong security standards are applied across projects.
* Deliver a long-term product security roadmap aligned with enterprise cybersecurity objectives.
* Set and monitor clear metrics for security maturity, vulnerability trends, and performance.
* Provide technical leadership in secure architecture, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
* Act as a key cybersecurity advisor in design reviews, risk assessments, and incident planning.
* Partner closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Software Engineering, and leadership teams.
* Ensure security-by-design principles are embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
* Work with post-market teams on patching, vulnerability monitoring, and remediation.
* Support communication of security risks and issues to internal stakeholders and customers.
* Ensure compliance with FDA, EU MDR, ISO/IEC 27001, IEC 62443, and other global standards.
* Continually monitor emerging threats and technologies to proactively enhance security.
* Ensure alignment with BD development policies and software quality frameworks.
About You
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
* 10+ years experience in product cybersecurity - ideally in medical or regulated environments.
* Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
* Strong expertise in secure development practices, architecture, and regulatory compliance.
* Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH are advantageous.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with embedded systems, IoT, or cloud-connected devices.
* Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies, tools, and workflows.
