We will upskill you to be able to undertake gas boiler service and repair work providing our customers with an excellent in-home customer experience. You’ll also receive training in smart technologies, heat pumps, gas, oil, and other renewables on an ongoing basis.On successful completion of your training, you will carry out a range of home product services in a safe and competent manner, including gas appliance and installation servicing and repairs, all in line with current regulations, industry best practice and Bord Gáis Energy’s technical operational procedures. The role will involve continuous opportunity to upskill as well as contribute to business plans and the execution of company strategy.If you are a highly motivated individual committed to delivering a great customer experience and would like the chance to play a role in shaping the energy services market in Ireland, this could be the opportunity for you!About the RoleService, repair, and safety inspection of all domestic heating appliancesService and repair of domestic central heating and hot water plumbing systemsFirst time diagnosis and repair of heating appliances and system faultsUpgrade and installation of central heating system controls with smart technologiesCarry out a range of electrical safety tests on domestic heating installationsCorrectly locate, install, and verify CO alarms to current gas standardsCarry out a range of testing with Combustion Gas Analysers including room safetyResponsibility for all aspects of central heating installation and customer safetyGenerate, organise, and maintain company and regulatory documentationParticipation in the Bord Gáis Energy wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, safety, and quality systemsHeating, electrical and refrigeration installation duties when required where qualifications applyAbout YouYou’ll have a National craft certificate in plumbing, electrical, or refrigeration (or equivalent as specified by the RGII recognised previous learning scheme)A driven individual with excellent planning and organisational skillsAptitude for fault finding logic would be an advantageStrong interpersonal and customer skills, with the ability to work with the general public and within a wider team with specific targetsA positive, safe attitude and approach to all work and training activitiesRGII registered with 5 years experienceIn return, you’ll receive a competitive salary, generous annual leave allowance, and a host of other benefits, including volunteering days with our charity partner, Focus Ireland.
