Job Title: Level 2 Deskside Support EngineerLocation:Cork (Onsite 5 days - some day time shift hours)Type:Full-time | PermanentJob Summary:We are looking for a skilled Level 2 Deskside Support Engineer to provide advanced onsite technical support to end-users in our Cork office. This role requires a strong understanding of desktop environments, hardware diagnostics, and application troubleshooting.Key Responsibilities:Act as part of the backline support team for our client's manufacturing operationsAnalyze, troubleshoot, and resolve end-user IT issues, ranging from individual workstation problems to major production system incidents, escalating to Senior Engineers when necessaryDeploy and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software issues (Windows/Office applications)Perform proactive maintenance on meeting room equipmentSupport and troubleshoot the organization's print function (Safecom secure print)Deploy and troubleshoot desk and mobile phonesTroubleshoot wireless network issuesSupport and troubleshoot VPN connections for remote workersLiaise with external vendors for installation and configuration of new lab instrumentsProvide onsite desktop support for LAB IT system usersMaintain the hardware inventory database, updating it with all moves and additions in line with defined processesTake ownership of user tickets, providing timely updates and resolutions, escalating when appropriateRequirements:2-4 years of experience in Deskside/IT SupportProficiency in Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Office 365Strong troubleshooting skills with desktop hardware and softwareFamiliarity with SCCM, Intune, or similar device management toolsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsRelevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.) preferred
