Cairn has a unique opportunity for a high-calibre Landscape Planning & Design Manager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and diverse team. We are seeking an experienced and highly confident landscape & urban design professional to oversee the delivery of landscape planning and landscape management across the Cairn portfolio of development sites.The Landscape Planning & Design Manager will collaborate closely with the landscape & urban design department and site teams to ensure high standards of landscape planning and placemaking. They will oversee the integration of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) via landscape delivery, ensuring ecological and placemaking value for future communities.The role involves overseeing landscape planning, BNG, and a portion of landscape delivery across the Cairn portfolio. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Landscape and Urban Design.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Head of Department with monitoring, tracking, and reporting on a broad range of landscape projects at various stages including Planning, BNG, Pre-Construction, Construction, and Post-Construction.Support design development and placemaking for key developments.Contribute to the delivery and implementation of the biodiversity strategy through BNG principles across all sites during planning, delivery, and reporting stages.Assist with the tendering process and contractor appointment for landscape works.Supervise the implementation of landscape works on multiple development sites through proactive engagement with contractors and project teams.Oversee the handover and take-in-charge of completed schemes to management companies, local authorities, and purchasers.Supervise ongoing landscape maintenance of completed schemes under Cairn management.Support the Customer Care team in addressing landscape-related queries.Maintain inspection records and manage fallow sites within the Cairn land bank.Lead and support various landscape innovation projects.This role will be multi-site based.The Candidate:Level 8 qualification in Landscape Architecture.Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience.Experience overseeing large-scale residential landscape projects from concept to planning approval.Experience managing the construction and handover stages of large-scale residential landscapes.Strong focus on placemaking and creating a sense of place in communities.Experience in contract management for landscape works.Excellent knowledge of soft and hard landscape materials.Strong commercial understanding of the landscape industry and procurement processes.Knowledge of site operations, liaising with local authorities, and coordinating with design teams.Full clean driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites.Working with Cairn Homes:At Cairn, we value and appreciate our employees.
