Job Description
Job Summary
Drive excellence in computational analytics across L&H by setting clear development standards, embedding best practices, and enabling the adoption of advanced analytics technologies.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic influence to ensure our analytics capabilities are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
About the Role
As the driving force behind computational analytics in L&H, you'll set the standard for how we leverage R and Python to design, build, and maintain our computational analytics solutions.
You will define and own pragmatic programming standards and guardrails and make sure teams can apply them in practice through coaching, code reviews, patterns, and hands-on guidance.
You will work closely with key stakeholders such as Security and Compliance to ensure alignment and consistency.
Rather than owning every delivery, you will enable business technologists to produce solutions that are helpful, maintainable, and auditable by providing mentoring, technical steering, and a clear path for complex design and debugging topics.
You will actively support and troubleshoot non-trivial issues in critical scripts, pipelines, packages, and applications, and you will contribute directly to development when it accelerates progress or de-risks key solutions.
You will work closely with the Analytics Platform owner to align platform roadmap and capabilities with L&H priorities and to ensure the platform supports the way teams build and run R/Python solutions.
You will scout and critically evaluate emerging computational analytics technologies, translate their potential into concrete use cases, and drive adoption where there is clear business value.
You will build a continuous learning model for the community and turn learnings into practical tutorials, playbooks, and training materials that make teams increasingly self-sufficient.
Additionally, you will actively contribute to shaping the company-wide Business Technologist framework, ensuring it stays aligned with business needs, cost-effective, and well governed.
