Mechanical Construction Managers are responsible for leading and supporting site safety in collaboration with the safety and project teams. They manage quality assurance, schedules, costs, and day-to-day operations to ensure project goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with safety and project teams to manage site safety.
* Manage site quality assurance with input from the QA Manager.
* Assist in maintaining and tracking the project schedule.
* Oversight of project costs including labor, materials, plant, and variations.
* Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure progress aligns with project goals.
* Manage the on-site team and coordinate across all disciplines.
* Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, and manpower levels.
* Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and package leads.
* Manage snagging and punch lists in support of QA/QC.
* Report labor hours for direct staff and subcontractors.
* Lead site meetings and reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
* Support project close-out including documentation, handover, and resource relocation.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager role or similar.
* Trade background or relevant third-level qualification in engineering or construction.
* Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and construction programs effectively.
* Strong knowledge of the complete design and construction lifecycle.
* Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
* Clean driver's license.
