Job Title: Data Analyst – Commercial Insights
Reporting line: Commercial Analytics and Data Insights Manager
The Group Commercial team are seeking to onboard a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst – Commercial Insights to join our Commercial Analytics and Data Insights team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for data storytelling, dashboard development and commercial performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by delivering actionable insights through Power BI dashboard reporting, working closely with stakeholders across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and optimise interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support commercial decision-making.
* Deliver commercial insights and reporting at a group level, ensuring alignment across all regions.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable data solutions.
* Assist in the development of automated reporting processes.
* Contribute to ad-hoc analysis and deep dives to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Support the cross-functional taskforce focused on aligning KPIs across regions, contributing to consistency and comparability of commercial performance metrics.
* Ensure data governance and compliance with internal standards.
The Candidate should have the following
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a data analyst role, ideally within the retail and/or FMCG industry.
* Strong proficiency in Power BI and its components (e.g. DAX, Power Query) essential.
* Experience working with large datasets and data modelling.
* Knowledge of SQL, or Python is a plus.
* Ability to translate business requirements into effective data visualisations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Commercially minded individual, with a strong understanding of how data and insights drive business performance and decision-making.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to present insights to non-technical audience.
* Curious mindset with a proactive approach to learning and improvement.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* Proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines and strong ownership of tasks.
