An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Director of BIM.
We seek a strategic leader to be the central voice for BIM throughout all project stages and to develop and lead this discipline within PM Group. This role offers a chance to shape the future of PM Group strategically.
You will collaborate with the Group Head of DeLPD, Discipline Technical Directors, and other Service Heads to ensure consistent and efficient BIM service delivery across the 20 design offices worldwide.
This senior role reports to the Group Head of DeLPD and involves leadership, governance, troubleshooting, and defining BIM working methods.
We offer a flexible, hybrid working environment, with the option to work from home up to two days per week. The role will be based in one of our Irish offices.

Responsibilities
1. PM Group Strategy for BIM
o Lead BIM discipline development aligned with company strategy and local plans.
o Support Business Units in department growth, competency development, and training.
o Coordinate with various pillars (Architecture, Engineering, CQV, etc.) to develop cross-functional competencies.
o Define design activities and deliverables for core sectors to ensure safety and efficiency.
2. Digitalisation of Business Processes / Ways of Working
o Develop and implement BIM strategies across the Group.
o Enhance department capabilities and identify training needs.
o Develop SME areas within BIM.
o Align competencies across pillars and sectors.
o Define design activities for project safety and efficiency.
3. Governance of Design Delivery
o Support proposal development and establish project watch lists.
o Influence early design stages on key projects.
o Review contractual documents and governance processes.
4. Troubleshooting
o Act as a first responder for BIM design issues.
o Engage with senior teams and stakeholders.
o Implement corrective actions and monitor progress.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
* 15+ years relevant industry experience, with at least 10 in senior management.
* Knowledge of Pharma, EV battery, Food, Med Tech industries.
* Experience with BIM design and cGMP.
* Proven leadership in large BIM projects.
* Membership in recognized engineering bodies.
* Strong technical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent in English.
