Job Description
The role of the Data Engineer is to design, build and support scalable data pipelines on Databricks. This includes reviewing code, mentoring engineers and supporting incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
* To lead a team of engineers in designing and building high-quality data platforms that power advanced analytics and financial crime detection.
* To work with distributed data performance, partitioning, file layout (Delta Lake optimization), caching, and cost/perf trade-offs.
* To review code for efficiency and scalability.
* Incident response: root cause analysis, postmortems, preventative engineering in case of technical issues or bugs found during quality assurance processes while maintaining service level agreements regarding availability SLA timeframes from our stakeholders across departments such as Compliance Legal Marketing Operations Customer Service etcetera.
