Cleantech Civils is currently seeking experienced Project Managers and Site Engineers to support the delivery of a major wastewater treatment plant project. The project involves installing large-diameter pipework along with associated civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Project Manager: Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Report directly to the Contacts Manager overseeing site managers, engineers, and subcontractors, taking full responsibility for the safe, timely execution of works in accordance with budget, programme, and quality requirements.
2. Experience in reinforced concrete structures and wastewater large-diameter pipework is essential.
3. Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems arising on site.
4. Keep the project team informed on all relevant technical and engineering issues.
5. Ensure contractors on site execute works as per method statements and risk assessments.
6. Act as the main technical adviser on site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
7. Ensure all materials and work performed meet specifications.
8. Assist with material and plant management.
9. Monitor and interpret contract design documents supplied by the client/architect.
10. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the workforce.
11. Promote high standards of HS&E procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies.
12. Manage construction sites and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to procedures.
13. Establish and promote best practices in quality, safety, and environmental standards.
14. Foster a customer-focused approach throughout the organization.
Selection Criteria / Person Specification for Project Manager
* Third-level qualification in Construction/Civil Engineering or similar.
* Extensive project management experience within civils/water environments.
* Proficiency in MS Project.
* Valid Safe Pass, SMSTS, and/or MSIC cards.
* Attention to detail, methodical approach, and leadership qualities.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong planning and time management skills.
Site Engineer: Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Establish levels and survey controls for contracts.
* Set out detailed works according to contract drawings, ensuring regular checks.
* Maintain accurate records complying with legal and organizational standards.
* Resolve technical issues promptly.
* Produce procurement schedules and liaise with procurement.
* Promote best practices and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
* Prepare site diaries, records, and allocation sheets.
* Establish safe working cultures and practices.
* Ensure work is delivered defect-free and on time.
* Identify value engineering opportunities.
* Promote customer focus and EHS awareness on site.
Selection Criteria / Person Specification for Site Engineer
* Third-level qualification in Construction/Civil Engineering or similar.
* 2-3 years of site-based setting out experience.
* Knowledge of construction methods, safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
* Experience with robotic total stations or EDM instruments.
* Self-motivated with results-oriented mindset.
* Experience in temporary work coordination is a benefit.
* Proficiency in MS Project.
* Valid Safe Pass, SMSTS, and MSIC cards.
