TJ O'Mahony Prosperous, Co. Kildare, W91 P682, part of HPC Sales Ltd., Ireland's leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a full-time, permanent Stock Controller to join our team.
Job Purpose
Manage branch inventory to ensure the availability of stock, meeting demand while minimising costs.
Responsibilities
* Maintain an accurate inventory of all stock within the branch and ensure stock procedures are carried out in line with Group Policy on Stock Control.
* Ensure an effective Daily Gate Sheet is in operation and used correctly; record all deliveries of stock arriving to the branch from Supplier or Inter Branch with all required information.
* Check all goods that arrive into the branch in a timely manner.
* Input all stock into the Remedy system within 24 hours of receipt; verify stock against supplier delivery docket and GRN checklist, signed by the person who checks the goods.
* Scan all scannable stock during the checking-in process to ensure the barcode is registered and the correct stock code is used.
* Enter all goods inwards into the stock system (Remedy) and ensure that all stock, whether ordered or not, is receipted on Remedy.
* Record delivery breakages, damages, and shortages in line with Group Policy and notify the supplier by email in a timely manner.
* Monitor Negative Stock reports daily and adjust in line with Group Policy on Stock Adjustments.
* Prepare and implement a Monthly Cycle Count schedule for the whole branch (high value/fast moving stock counted monthly; other stock at least twice per 6 months).
* Report variances monthly to the Group Stock Manager; manage all stock adjustments (SIU, Breakages & Damages, Interim Stock Checks, Planned Cycle Counts, daily negative stock investigation and correction).
* Maintain and control of the special orders area, ensure stock is in a designated Special Order area with Remedy-generated labels, and verify stock against Remedy.
* Ensure Special-Order stock is charged out or returned to supplier within two weeks of receipt.
* Control Inter Branch Transfers, monitor and process outstanding transfers.
* Support the Branch Manager in the preparation and control of bi-annual stock takes and ensure all shop stock scans are completed.
* Ensure yard/warehouse stock has allocated locations and locations are updated in Remedy; keep books accurate.
* Work with branch teams to ensure stock take preparation is carried out effectively and investigate variances after stock takes, recording reasons for variances for forwarding to the Group Stock Manager.
* Ensure all monthly stock cut-offs are completed by close of business on the last day of each month and reports submitted to the Group Stock Manager within 3 business days of month-end.
* Analyse the monthly stock report with relevant branch personnel and address all points highlighted.
* Monitor and address branch accruals.
* Maintain control of all paperwork related to listed tasks and collaborate with the branch purchaser/manager to address excess and aged stocks monthly.
