Lead by Example as a Deputy General Manager at Our 4-Star Hotel in Oranmore, Galway
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy Manager to join our team. As a hands-on individual with a strong background in Food & Beverage management, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel.
The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive handover briefings to stay informed about upcoming events and special requirements.
* Maintain a strong Food & Beverage focus, overseeing front-of-house, bar, and restaurant operations, as well as Banqueting and events.
* Exhibit exceptional leadership skills, motivating and leading a high-performing team.
* Maintain a visible presence, personally greeting and interacting with customers to create a personalized service environment.
* Monitor and coordinate all hotel departments, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
* Ensure timely completion of checklists, reports, and handovers at the end of each shift.
* Implement and update Department Standard Operating Procedures to guarantee high-quality customer care.
* Communicate customer feedback promptly and contribute to service and training improvements.
* Assist with budget preparation, compile reports, and analyze variances.
* Monitor costs, adhere to purchasing procedures, and ensure efficient stock control.
* Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers to maintain agreed standards.
* Prioritize the health and safety of team members, customers, and third-party service providers.
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel.
