Job Description:
The Financial Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing the finance department and managing the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Oversee the Finance Department and provide strategic guidance.
* Financial Systems Management: Manage and oversee all financial IT systems, including SAGE, ROS, IBB, Collsoft, and CRM Software.
* Management Accounts: Oversee the preparation of management accounts and monthly reporting packs.
* Revenue Returns: Ensure timely and accurate submission of all revenue returns.
* Payroll & Staff Pensions: Manage payroll processes and staff pension schemes.
* Annual Audit & Compliance: Lead the annual audit process and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
* Credit Policy & Systems: Develop and maintain the company's credit policies and systems.
* Supplier Management: Negotiate supplier pricing and manage supplier relationships.
* Grants & Funding Applications: Manage the financial aspects of grant and funding applications.
Requirements:
* Proven Experience: Proven experience in a financial management role, preferably within an operations / logistics sector.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial IT systems, particularly SAGE, and other relevant software.
* Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and company law compliance.
* Analysis Skills: Experience in budgeting, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
* Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage supplier relationships and contracts.
* Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
