Gas Shift Technician Overview
The Gas Shift Technician role involves ensuring the supply of chemicals and gases necessary for producing chips used in various electronic devices.
* Handle and change-out gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
* Perform gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
* Operate computers to support job functions and customer needs.
* Support quality systems.
This position requires working with advanced gas and chemical blending equipment, chemical reprocessing, and life safety systems. Ensuring compliance with operational and maintenance procedures, as well as emergency preparedness protocols, is crucial.
Work hours include 12-hour shifts, rotating between day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays. The selected candidate must be physically fit and able to walk up to 3-5 miles per day, climb ladders up to 12 feet tall, and lift up to 40 pounds.
