Sustainability Consultant
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Consultant to lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for large-scale Renewable Energy projects.
* Develop and implement sustainability strategies to ensure compliance with planning and environmental regulations.
* Provide expert advice on environmental impact assessment, policy and legislation.
* Stay up-to-date on changes in planning and environmental legislation, policies and development plans.
* Contribute to business strategy development, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
* Assist in stakeholder engagement and communication, developing consultation plans with local communities and stakeholders.
* Prepare specifications for third-party services and assist in procurement processes.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental policies, and relevant EU and National regulations.
* Mentor and support junior staff, particularly in EIA and sustainability processes.
Requirements:
* Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Honours degree is a plus.
* 5+ years' experience leading EIA and sustainability initiatives for large-scale projects.
* Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental policy, and Irish planning legislation.
* Experience in renewables or related infrastructure projects is desirable; technical expertise in ecology, noise, or air quality is beneficial.
* Experience with projects of varying priorities, risk profiles, and timelines is advantageous.
