We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Social Programme Officer to coordinate student social activities and support the administration of internship pathways. This role plays a central part in enhancing student engagement, wellbeing, and integration by delivering a high-quality extracurricular programme while supporting partnerships with host organisations for internship placements.
The Social Programme Officer will collaborate closely with the Groups Coordinator and is expected to maintain a regular presence at both junior and adult schools.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Plan, schedule, and deliver a wide range of social activities, events, and excursions for adult and junior students.
* Lead the summer school social programme, including excursions, on-campus activities, and student engagement events.
* Promote activities to encourage strong participation and community building.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures.
* Support international students in their cultural integration and overall experience.
* Gather feedback and track participation to evaluate and improve the social programme.
* Support relationships with internship host organisations.
* Assist with coordinating the internship placement cycle (matching, preparation, onboarding, monitoring, evaluation).
* Maintain accurate internship documentation and support reporting on placement outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to align activities and placements with academic schedules.
* Liaise with external agencies, suppliers, and partners as required.
* Manage programme budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
* Prepare reports, maintain records, and contribute to ongoing programme development.
* Participate in the emergency phone rota and respond to out-of-hours issues as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or diploma in Event Management, Education, Tourism, or a related field.
* First Aid or Health & Safety certification (desirable).
* High level of English proficiency;
* Strong organisational, time-management, and administrative skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Knowledge of health and safety requirements and risk management principles.
* Proficiency in IT systems and digital tools.
* Experience in event coordination, programme administration, or student services.
* Experience working with students or within a multicultural environment.

Salary: €32,000-€34,000 based on experience
