Senior Reference Data Associate (German Speaking)
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Senior Reference Data Associate is to research, analyze, interpret, transform, and present reference data for fixed income securities and related issuers, focusing on documents in German and English.
The Senior Reference Data Associate must complete a three-month training program to develop expertise and proficiency with the relevant databases, enabling independent analysis of legal and financial documents related to less complex fixed income structures. During training, candidates must master the subject matter, pass quizzes and tests, and meet accuracy and timeliness metrics.
The role also involves providing customer support alongside the DSG team to ICE product users by resolving inquiries promptly and conducting additional analysis.
Responsibilities
1. Analyze, interpret, collate, and transform reference data from legal and financial documents, third-party reports, and vendor information, ensuring data accuracy, comprehensiveness, and timeliness in ICE's products and services.
2. Make informed decisions when interpreting legal and financial information, using subject matter expertise to infer and deduce conclusions.
3. Provide timely customer support for ICE product users by resolving inquiries efficiently.
4. Craft comprehensive responses to client inquiries, including restating the challenge, analysis performed, and methodology used.
5. Procure necessary documents and trusted content through creative internet searches and outreach to issuers, underwriters, fiduciary agents, and bond counsel.
6. Identify workflow efficiencies and process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and productivity.
7. Identify trends and causes of inaccurate or incomplete data.
8. Participate in projects aimed at process optimization and data quality improvement.
9. Create charts, graphs, and presentations for leadership.
10. Utilize Excel functions to organize, analyze, and create reference data.
Knowledge and Experience
* Fluent in English and German (minimum B2 level). Knowledge of Slavic languages (Czech, Slovakian, Polish) is a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
* Relevant work experience in fixed income reference data operations or customer service.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Strong analytical skills to distill large amounts of information.
* Excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills.
* Proven written and oral communication skills, capable of crafting client-ready correspondence.
* Eagerness to learn and collaborate.
* Strong Excel skills.
