Overview

Trainee Phlebotomist – Full training provided. Field based – various locations in Northern Ireland. £20,837.25 per year plus Commission, Overtime, Expenses and Benefits. Locations considered include Newry, Camlough, Bessbrook, Killeavy, Whitecross areas.

Responsibilities

* You will be required to work 3 x 10-hour shifts per week (30 hours total). Shifts can fall between 6am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday, with hours allocated 3 weeks in advance.
* You may drive up to 2 hours to reach your venue; some days may involve public transport depending on venue type.
* Work across multiple clinic venues in the region; expect visiting several venues per shift.
* Plan routes, travel to allocated venues, unpack and set up kit, greet customers, and manage 15 to 22 customers per day; appointment lengths range from 10 to 45 minutes depending on package and assessments.
* Perform various health assessments based on chosen packages (e.g., PAD, ECG, Phlebotomy once qualified, Lung Function, Body Composition, short fitness tests) and advise on further testing if appropriate; update and maintain administration records.
* You will not be required to relay results or offer lifestyle advice after assessments.


Requirements

* A Full UK License and access to your own car to transport kit to venues; ability to store kit items at home.
* Ability to work any days between Monday and Sunday and any times between 6am and 10pm on a rota basis (examples: 6am–4pm, 8am–6pm, 1pm–10pm).
* Proficiency with computers/laptops/phones/tablets.
* Clear DBS (enhanced) – processed on your behalf.
* Ability to travel up to 2 hours from home location; occasional overnight stays may be required.
* Live within the correct distance of the regional location.
* Attend Milton Keynes head office for the first 2 weeks of training (Monday–Friday, both weeks).
* Willingness to learn and take on new skills.
* Onboarding requires a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check (covered by us).
* All roles require a satisfactory criminal record check as part of onboarding.
