Temporary Payroll Specialist/Administrator - SPC - Dublin
Join EY as a Temporary Payroll Specialist/Administrator - SPC - Dublin. This full‑time, SPC contract role is based in Ireland/Dublin and offers hybrid working two days per week.
Role Overview
You will be part of the Central Finance team, reporting to the Payroll Supervisor and working closely with stakeholders. The primary responsibility is to process end‑to‑end fortnightly payroll using Excel, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will also support month‑end reconciliations, audits, and ad‑hoc duties.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Process payroll, compile and post payroll journals.
* Prepare reconciliations and returns such as pension, CSO and other PAYE Revenue reporting.
* Support month‑end processes and provide cash‑flow forecasting inputs.
* Maintain compliance with Revenue requirements, internal controls and audit standards.
* Provide payroll support, training and guidance to staff.
* Deliver high‑quality reports and ad‑hoc returns.
* Act as a key contact for HR, Revenue, and external service providers.
* Contribute to audits, financial statements and budget preparation.
* Mentor staff where required.
* Assist in continuous improvement projects, technology adoption and system upgrades.
* Perform any other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum NFQ Level 7 qualification.
* At least 5 years of recent, relevant Irish payroll processing experience.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with payroll journals.
* Experience preparing payroll reconciliations to strict deadlines.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proactive, flexible, and organised approach.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
* Team‑working skills and adaptability.
* Self‑motivated and able to manage fixed deadlines.
