Job Title: Paediatric Occupational Therapist
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a child-centred, collaborative and multidisciplinary setting where creativity, compassion and clinical expertise come together every day.
As a staff grade occupational therapist you will play a key role in the delivery of paediatric services within a primary care team. Working with children aged 0-18 who present with developmental, sensory and/or physical challenges, you will provide meaningful, family-centred interventions that promote independence and participation in daily life.
You will be responsible for providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children with a variety of needs including sensory processing, motor coordination and developmental delay. You will also manage a paediatric caseload in line with prioritisation policies, service capacity and individual family needs.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
* Providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children with complex needs.
* Working collaboratively with families, teachers and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic and coordinated care.
* Participating in multidisciplinary team discussions and planning meetings.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of individualised care plans.
* Supporting quality improvement initiatives and contributing to team-based service planning.
Requirements include CORU registration as an occupational therapist, post graduate or clinical placement experience in a paediatric setting, strong communication, organisational and time management skills, and passion for early intervention, family-centred care and multidisciplinary teamwork.
