Role Overview
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of the design process for complex electrical systems, seeing projects through from the initial client brief to the final build on our manufacturing floor. You will act as the technical lead, liaising directly with clients and our internal panel-building teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, develop design briefs, and provide technical clarifications.
Produce high-quality conceptual and detailed electrical designs and schematics.
Specify components, materials, and panel assemblies.
Collaborate closely with our in-house panel-building and manufacturing teams.
Oversee design reviews and ensure absolute accuracy in all technical documentation.
Support the build, testing, and site commissioning phases.
Conduct site visits and prepare detailed technical reports and cost estimates.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or a related discipline).
5–10 years of proven experience in electrical design.
Strong proficiency in creating electrical schematics and designs.
Excellent working knowledge of Irish and EU electrical standards.
Strong communication and organizational skills for effective client and team liaison.
Direct experience with Eplan Pro Panel (highly advantageous) or AutoCAD Electrical.
Previous background working in or alongside panel-building environments.
Experience in system integration or industrial automation.
