Systems Accountant - Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Systems Accountant to take ownership of our finance systems, integrations with other non financial software tolls and reporting processes.
This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial data, seamless system integration, and continuous improvement of finance processes through automation and digital transformation.
ERP & Finance Systems Management
Lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of finance systems (currently Xero).
Collaborate with project teams to integrate the finance module effectively.
Participate in system design workshops and promote best practice use of standard functionality.
Oversee data migration, testing, and validation to ensure system integrity.
Manage integrations, system upgrades, and automation initiatives
Ensure accurate and complete migration of financial data from legacy systems.
Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reports and dashboards.
Support month-end processes with system-driven reporting and analytics.
Provide insights through variance analysis and reconciliations.
Process Improvement & Controls
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and increase automation.
Ensure financial processes within various financial and operational systems comply with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Support finance transformation initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Training & Support
Deliver training and ongoing support to finance team members on systems and tools.
Act as the first point of contact for finance system queries, liaising with IT and system providers.
Encourage consistent and effective system usage across the team.
Compliance & Audit Support
Maintain system controls to support audit, VAT, and tax compliance.
Ensure finance systems facilitate timely and accurate regulatory submissions.
Support audit processes with accurate system-generated data
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Finance, IT, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align systems with business needs.
Provide finance systems expertise for new projects and initiatives.
Handle ad-hoc financial systems and reporting queries as required.
