We are looking for a dynamic Junior Marketing Executive to join our team and contribute to building our brand's legacy while ensuring our marketing efforts resonate with our valued customers. Role OverviewAs a Junior Marketing Executive, you will collaborate closely with the Marketing Director and Senior Marketing Executive to execute strategic marketing initiatives.
You will play an integral role in coordinating campaigns, organizing events, and managing digital and in-store promotions, all while maintaining Avoca's distinct brand identity. This involves all aspects of communication, marketing, PR and event planning, whilst consistently enhancing the brand and overall business performance.
The Marketing teams manage and ensure the brand values and integrity is maintained in all executions to the highest standard with success demonstrated in the achievement of targets which increase overall trading performance. Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing Support Assist the Marketing Director and Senior Executive in preparing marketing plans for the year, including developing the marketing calendar, setting budgets, and establishing strategic objectives Contribute to innovative strategies to grow market share, revenue, and brand visibility. Content and Campaign Support Create and coordinate engaging weekly e-alerts to drive press and media coverage, supporting our PR company with sufficient imagery and information to support press release and any ad hoc press requests.
Support the creation and delivery of seasonal campaigns, including Spring/Summer (SS), Autumn/Winter (AW), and Christmas promotions Assist in social content development, working with the content creator to gather imagery, write compelling copy, and ensure brand alignment Support with retail-focused photo shoots, including pre- and post-shoot tasks like product curation and preparing captioned images for press. Event Coordination Organise and manage customer-facing events, media events, and in-store activations Attend networking events, workshops, and industry meetings to represent Avoca and identify collaboration opportunities.Market and Digital Insights Monitor online audience engagement and global market trends to identify opportunities Conduct market research on trends in retail, food, and tourism to inform campaign planning Stay updated with digital marketing trends to enhance Avoca's online presence. Skills and Qualifications A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field years of experience in a marketing role or internship Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills Proficiency in social media platforms, basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and analytics tools A creative mindset with a passion for brand storytelling and engagement Knowledge of the Irish retail, food, or tourism sectors is advantageous. Additional Requirements Full Irish drivers' licence is required for this role (own transport?)

Normal working hours will be Monday-Friday 9-5, however there will be requirements on occasion to work outside of these hours at marketing events at evenings or weekends We operate a hybrid model with a mix of working from home and in our Head Office in Wicklow depending on the needs of the business.
