In this newly created role, you will oversee the daily operations of our workshops, ensuring the highest standards of productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.What you will do:Supervise team productivity and adherence to KPIs.Get hands-on with urgent on-site repairs when necessaryManage work allocation and adjust schedules based on priorities.Support and develop team performance and apprentice progress.Collaborate with the purchasing/stores team for parts and supply chain support.Ensure the workshop is organised and safe, maintaining adequate tools and work areas.Maintain accurate documentation of service department procedures.Promote safety and housekeeping within the team.What you will need:Recent supervisory experience in a similar industry would be desirable but candidates with considerable relevant experience will also be consideredHands-on experience in an engineering or service environment.3rd level Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or time-served mechanic/electrician.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong organisational and time management abilities.Ability to handle challenging situations confidently and calmly.Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks independently.IT literacy including MS Word and Excel.KDM Hire is a professional and dynamic business that has grown to become one of Ireland's leading equipment rental companies.
