Job Title: Structural Design Lead
This is a leadership role within our growing structures division, providing input to a wide range of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the operational and commercial performance of the structural team.
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, supporting their technical development.
* Ensure high-quality design deliverables across all projects.
* Coordinate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and external consultants.
* Manage team resources, delegate tasks, and track project budgets.
* Collaborate with other sectors and disciplines across the business on multi-disciplinary projects.
* Support recruitment efforts as the team continues to grow.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Contribute to business development, including tenders and bid submissions.
Candidate Requirements:
* Relevant third level degree in engineering (Level 8 or higher).
* Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent.
* At least 15 years experience in structural engineering, with a strong technical background.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Must be able to work well under pressure and have a proven track record of meeting deliverable deadlines to client satisfaction.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Have an ability to lead, manage and coach a growing team.
* Possess excellent professional/technical knowledge and skills.
