Job Title: Administrative Finance Assistant
As an Administrative Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, including verifying invoices, coding, approval, and payment runs.
You will also be tasked with maintaining accurate daily records of financial transactions, reconciling creditor statements, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
Additionally, you will prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and RCT returns in compliance with statutory deadlines, and produce monthly financial reports for Directors highlighting key variances and trends.
To succeed in this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast-paced accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably covering AP/AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting practices, including trial balance, accruals, and statutory reporting is essential.
Proficiency in accounting software and strong skills in Microsoft Excel are also required.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, as well as high attention to detail and strong accuracy in numerical work are also necessary.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective liaison with suppliers, colleagues, and management are essential.
