Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ICF and Structural Concrete Mason to support our high-performance, energy-efficient building projects acrossIreland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) systems, complemented by traditional masonry and concreteconstruction techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
•Install Insulated Concrete Form work (ICF) systems in accordance with architectural and structural specifications, including reinforcement integration and structural layout preparation.
•Pour, level, and finish concrete within ICF assemblies, ensuring accurate consolidation, curing, and alignment per engineering and manufacturer standards.
•Read and interpret technical drawings, layout plans, and installation manuals for both ICF and conventional blockwork/masonry systems.
•Construct walls, partitions, and foundations using a range of materials including concrete blocks, clay bricks, and ICF units.
•Shape, cut, and brace ICF blocks to suit structural and service requirements, including complex junctions and openings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations.
•Apply finishes such as render and waterproofing to both ICF and masonry surfaces as required for building envelope performance.
•Ensure full compliance with Irish building codes, fire safety regulations, thermal insulation requirements, and on-site health and safety practices.
•Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stone using mortar or adhesive as part of broader building systems, including facades, retaining walls, and internal partitions.
•Collaborate with site engineers, architects, and tradespersons to ensure accurate sequencing and integration of ICF and masonry components in line with project timelines.
•Conduct on-site inspections and adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional tolerances.
Requirements:
•Minimum of 2 years' proven experience in ICF.
•Strong understanding of construction drawings and building regulations.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary construction team.
