Psychologist Location: Donegal Children's Disability Services | CDNT Emerald Locums are currently recruiting a Staff Grade / Senior Psychologist for a Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Donegal. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, family-centred care to children with complex developmental and physical disabilities. This role is based within a community disability setting, supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs. The position offers a flexible contract with the opportunity to work within an established clinical team providing assessment, intervention, and consultation services. What's on offer: Competitive hourly rate of €45 - €65 per hour (equivilent to between €80k and €120k per annum) Flexible working arrangements (full-time or part-time) Temporary rolling contract Supportive multidisciplinary team environment Opportunity to work with a varied and rewarding paediatric caseload Ongoing support from Emerald Locums recruitment team Duties: Provide psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation for children with complex developmental needs Support children presenting with autism, intellectual disability, and developmental delay Work closely with families to deliver family-centred care Participate in MDT meetings, joint assessments, and care planning Provide guidance and support to parents, carers, and professionals Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional and service standards Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives Essential Requirements - Staff Grade Psychologist A University Degree or Diploma obtained with first or second class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject. A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology Registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). One year's post-qualification experience working with children with disabilities Applicants with qualifications obtained outside of Ireland must provide a certificate of validation of their qualifications from the Department of Health. Full clean driving licence and access to own transport. Essential Requirements- Senior Psychologist A recognised university degree or diploma with first or second class honours in which Psychology was taken as major subject and honours obtained in that subject. Recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology. Registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years working with children with disabilities. Applicants with qualifications obtained outside of Ireland must provide a certificate of validation of their qualifications from the Department of Health. Full clean driving licence and access to own transport. Desirable for both grades of Psychologist: Experience working within a CDNT or paediatric disability service. Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Experience of working with children with physical disabilities Experience of working with children with intellectual disabilities Experience completing Assessment of Need Experience in service development or supervision of junior staff.
