Quality and Environmental Management Role
We are seeking a Quality/Environment and Performance Manager to be based in Shannon.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our existing Quality and Environmental systems, which include ISO 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental, 45001 Safety, 50001 Energy Management, and our target to achieve 55001 Asset Management.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing and maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Working closely with the Safety Manager and other departments to ensure processes are working and recording in accordance with our IMS.
* Managing the maintenance of current and future ISO standards.
* Broadening our systems to achieve 55001 Asset Management and separate Carbon Ladder Certification.
* Working with the wider Management team to incorporate Quality, Environmental, and Energy Management requirements into decision-making processes.
* Preparing and submitting monthly reports to clients.
* Controlling data-gathering processes for monthly report preparation.
* Preparing yearly reports.
* Controlling the preparation and storage of data, correspondence, and documentation.
* Initiating safety, quality, and design documentation for activities and submitting it to clients under certification.
* Reviewing plans, procedures, RAMs, etc., as required.
* Ensuring management reviews are carried out at regular intervals and objectives, targets, and risks are measured and updated each year.
* Developing measuring tools for project performance with the Operations Manager.
* Preparing quality submissions for clients in advance of construction or renewal projects.
* Developing testing protocols with subcontractors.
* Controlling, monitoring, testing, and inspection of works.
* Managing the production of testing and inspection data for supplying to clients and as-built documentation.
* Ensuring all operations are carried out in line with our own and legislative environmental requirements.
* Maintaining and adapting energy and carbon use recording processes.
* Producing the year-end Energy Management Report.
* Managing waste records and setting up sub-waste management plans for larger projects.
* Collaborating with the Sustainability Champion to develop and implement various projects to further carbon and biodiversity goals.
Requirements:
* A level eight qualification recognised by the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETEC) in Civil Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
* Membership of a recognised industry body (Engineers Ireland, Institute of Asphalt Technology, Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation, etc.).
Experience and knowledge requirements include:
* Experience in road network maintenance contracts or projects with similar services and activities.
* Manager's experience in Quality Systems.
* Experience in Data Management and Controls.
* Experience of Environmental Controls and systems.
* Demonstrable knowledge of TII road standards and specifications.
* High level of computer literacy (MS Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint). Industry recognised safety-training standard for level of post (PSCS and PSDP Knowledge/Training).
