Sales and Events Assistant (Part-Time/Flexi - 3 Days per Week)

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales and Events Assistant to join our busy Events Team at the 4* Tower Hotel in Waterford City. This is a support role working closely with our Events Manager and Events Coordinator to ensure the smooth planning, coordination, and delivery of weddings, meetings, banquets, and special events. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, adaptable, and able to provide administrative support while also stepping in to assist with client communications and event delivery when required.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Sales and Events Team in all aspects of admin, event planning and delivery.
* Handle event inquiries via phone, email, and in-person; provide information on hotel packages and availability.
* Assist with preparing sales and event proposals, contracts, and function sheets.
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
* Conduct show-arounds and site visits when required.
* Maintain accurate files, correspondence, and payment records.
* Assist with day-of-event coordination, guest greetings, and setup as needed.
* Provide administrative support including updating event calendars, client files, reports, and promotional materials.
* Support the marketing and sales team in preparing materials for wedding fairs and exhibitions.
* Step in to cover the Event Coordinator's duties when necessary.

Key Skills & Attributes

* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Proficiency in MS Office and event management systems (training provided).
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Flexible, professional, and attentive to detail.
* Experience in hospitality, weddings, or event planning preferred but not essential.
