They operate nationwide in conjunction with 31 local authorities along with various construction contractor/developer stakeholders. They have offices located nationally.Your New RoleThere are 2 roles covering Greater Dublin locations - Dublin & Kildare / Meath AND Wicklow / South Dublin. Your role is mainly on-site with some hybrid work for paperwork.You will be responsible for site visits for non-standard new Connection applications, performing site assessments, and creating Work Orders within a region. You will work closely with third parties to ensure onsite connection services. You will oversee connection requests to water and wastewater networks, collaborating with Local Authorities and other stakeholders. You will also support network reinforcement schemes driven by connection demand, working with Capital Delivery, Local Authorities, or third-party providers.Key duties include:Providing excellent customer experience through the connections process.Monitoring site inspection requests for non-standard applications.Assessing plans for technical investigations and site inspections.Conducting site assessments following Health and Safety policies.Documenting inspection results and managing Work Orders.Supporting network development and reinforcement projects.Onsite QA for water and wastewater infrastructure.Liaising with internal teams like Asset Planning, Asset Delivery, and Operations.Evaluating and providing feedback on infrastructure design.Requirements:Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, preferably Civil.At least 3 years of on-site experience with civil contractors or developers.Experience with utility connections management and water/wastewater knowledge is advantageous.Understanding of planning applications and connection regulations.Own vehicle and ability to work in specified locations.Full-time work eligibility in Ireland; sponsorship not provided.What you will gain:Employment with a semi-state organization involved in key Irish infrastructure projects.Potential for long-term job security.Flexible working hours and autonomy in scheduling and site visits.Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week.24 days annual leave, 2.5 company days, paid bank holidays.Hybrid working up to 3 days/week, depending on site needs.Salary up to €90,000 based on experience.Civil Service mileage for travel between sites.A career progression opportunity for engineers seeking a change from the private sector.Hays Ireland acts as an employment agency for permanent and temporary roles.
