Position: Hybrid Trainer (Fitness Instructor and Front of House)

Job Purpose
The Hybrid Trainer (Fitness Instructor & FOH) is a dual-role position that combines coaching and front-of-house (FOH) responsibilities, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for all members.
This role requires versatility, leadership, and strong customer service skills, allowing for smooth club operations both on the training floor and at the front desk.
Hybrid Trainers lead structured, high-quality workouts, coach members of all levels, and foster a motivating, community-driven atmosphere.
On FOH shifts, they provide customer service, manage check-ins, handle bookings, and support club operations, maintaining a welcoming and premium environment.
This role is ideal for fitness professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are passionate about both coaching and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Class Instruction & Coaching
Deliver high-energy, structured fitness classes following POWER's programming
Provide clear and effective coaching, ensuring members understand techniques and movement patterns
Offer modifications and progressions to accommodate all fitness levels
Keep class energy high and motivating while maintaining professional instruction
FOH Responsibilities
Greet and check-in members, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience
Assist members with bookings, inquiries, and club information
Support membership sales, retail transactions, and promotions
Maintain an organized and presentable front desk and reception area
Gym Floor Engagement & Cleanliness
Engage with members outside of classes, offering training tips and encouragement
Monitor gym safety and ensure proper equipment usage
Assist in maintaining studio spaces, gym floor cleanliness, and equipment organization
Support FOH and housekeeping teams in maintaining club presentation
Team Collaboration & Operational Support
Work closely with FOH, housekeeping, and management to ensure seamless daily operations
Support club managers with event participation, workshops, and community initiatives
Attend team training and development sessions to continuously enhance coaching and customer service skills
Daily Responsibilities
Lead high-quality group classes and provide expert coaching
Engage with members on the gym floor, offering advice and support
Work FOH shifts as scheduled, assisting with check-ins, bookings, and customer service
Maintain studio cleanliness and organization post-class
Preferred Experience & Skills
Recognised Group Exercise Instructor qualification (minimum requirement).
1+ years' experience delivering high intensity fitness classes
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within fitness, hospitality, or FOH.
Skilled in leading group fitness classes and offering personal coaching.
Strong motivation, communication, and member engagement skills.
High personal fitness level with ability to demonstrate correct exercise techniques.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Positive, adaptable, and able to work in a high-energy team environment.
Passion for health, fitness, and providing an exceptional member experience.
