Director of Patient Care (DPC)

Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital, is seeking a dedicated and experienced director of patient care to lead our nursing department and serve as a key member of our Senior Leadership Team. The DPC provides direction and oversight for all nursing operations, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Oversee nursing services and staff development for emergency department, acute, skilled and outpatient services.
Develop policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Promote patient safety and evidence-based practice.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to achieve strategic goals.
Support nursing education and professional growth.
Qualifications
Current RN license in Missouri (required).
BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
Bachelor’s in nursing (required); Master’s in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (preferred).
Minimum five (5) years of clinical and leadership experience.
Emergency and acute care required.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
