Overview
Role: Careers Practitioner at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (Padua College). Part time 0.80 FTE negotiable. The Careers Practitioner provides career information, educational planning and resources to assist students. A Certificate IV or Graduate Certificate in Careers Education is a requirement.

Role Description and Responsibilities
* The Careers Practitioner collaborates with the Career Leader and the Senior Pathways Team to provide career information, educational planning, and resources to assist students as they navigate future pathways.
* Guide staff in the implementation of programs and curriculum to help students develop knowledge, skills, and capabilities for transitioning between school and work or further education, and promote student engagement.
* Assist in the efficient management and administration of the Pathways Department across the College.
* Contribute to directing and monitoring course development, delivery, and resource management within their dedicated area to deliver specialised, innovative learning programs.
* Encourage students to be their best, support career decision-making, and provide skills for lifelong learning and career development.
Major Areas of Responsibility
* Implement the Pathways Program across the College to support career and further education pathways for students.
* Assist students to develop meaningful pathway plans with families, staff, and industry/government/education stakeholders, including professional support and subject advice.
* Support programs and opportunities for students exploring possible job pathways (including SWL, Work Experience, short courses, volunteer work).
* Perform other duties and implement decisions as requested by the Principal or the College Improvement Team.
Salary and Benefits
Salary according to CEMEA 2022: $75,828.00 – $98,708.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
