Reservations Agent Job Description

The primary role of the Reservations Agent is to oversee the entire room reservation process for both individual and group bookings. This involves working closely with the Reservations Manager to ensure seamless daily operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional guest and customer service.
* Monitoring and recording all email traffic, as well as checking dates, price, market segmentation, sources, etc.
* Managing no-shows and cancelled reservations and processing charges according to hotel policy.
* Collaborating with the Sales team to identify leads and convert them into confirmed bookings.
* Providing details of hotel facilities and pricing information.
* Liaising with the Reservations Manager to maximise room revenue and assist with daily, weekly and monthly revenue reporting.
* Promoting and up-selling the estate's facilities and amenities.
* Managing group blocks, including cut-off dates, deposits and contracts.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates will require at least two years' experience in a hotel reservations/front office position, knowledge of Hotsoft being an advantage. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, along with strong organisational and time management abilities.
