The role of Assistant Manager is pivotal to the growth of our business.
* Support day-to-day operations, overseeing staff rotas and ensuring smooth functioning of café, retail, and climbing areas.
* Develop leadership skills by leading, motivating, and training a diverse team; ensuring excellent customer service.
* Maintain HR processes (recruitment, performance reviews, scheduling, staff welfare) and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
* Monitor trading figures and manage costs to support profitability.
* Support the retail business: inventory/stock control, presentation, merchandising.
* Maintain operational standards: cleanliness, safety, and visitor experience.
About You
We seek someone who brings strong leadership, organisational skills, and commercial sense. Previous management experience in hospitality or leisure will be an asset.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role.
* Strong people management: team leadership, coaching/training, scheduling, performance management.
* Solid knowledge of HR and health & safety requirements.
* Comfortable working with financial data; experience managing budgets and costs.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to varied challenges.
