Toolmaker to maintain and repair (mainly progression) press tooling in our manufacturing facility, as well as any other task that may arise (for example the manufacture and repair of jigs, fixtures and spare components).
We offer this position, at successful completion of a six-month probation period, as permanent, full-time 40h/week or part time 24h/week.
Key Responsibilities:
Repairs and maintenance including all regrinds
Bench fitting press tools, jigs and fixtures, using machine tools and hand tools
Cooperate with production and engineering while troubleshooting
Carry out tool builds
Support T1 and validations, etc.
Support tool changes if required
Identify and generate opportunities for improvement, actively participate in implementing corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives
Create CAD drawings for components and tools

The ideal candidate:
It is essential that person holds a toolmaking qualification with subsequent five years plus experience.
A good knowledge of press tooling, trouble shooting, repair and maintenance as well as good English (written and spoken) are essential, while an understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics would be an advantage.
The person should possess excellent interpersonal, teamwork, IT and communication skills.
It is essential that the toolmaker works effectively with others, is a self-starter, results-oriented with a strong work ethic and the willingness, ability and resilience to work under pressure.
