Our client is a high-performance, bespoke solutions provider in the construction industry, offering a full-service approach from building design and manufacture through to installation. The role is based in their Galway site.
The Role
* Oversee all manufacturing operations (both automated and traditional construction skills) and logistics functions, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently achieved.
* Plan, forecast, and deliver manufacturing works in line with contractual commitments, while optimising commercial performance.
* Work collaboratively with Commercial, Design, and Contracts teams to refine operations and maintain full technical compliance.
* Provide strong, influential leadership with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
* Manage operational budgets, control costs, and drive supply chain efficiency.
* Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, maintenance supervisors, and logistics teams.
* Act as the escalation point for clients on high-profile projects, resolving technical challenges effectively.
* Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement strategies to boost performance.
* Contribute to strategic decisions on manufacturing processes and workforce planning.
* Oversee maintenance scheduling, ensuring preventative maintenance is prioritised.
* Ensure full adherence to health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Extensive experience in production/manufacturing management, ideally within precast manufacturing or heavy construction products.
* A third-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or People Management is desirable.
* Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams and communicate with authenticity.
* A strong advocate for safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to balance daily operations and long-term objectives.
* Highly organised, with strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel etc.) and experienced in implementing ERP systems.
