Description
Ryanair is currently recruiting for a Junior Project Manager to join the Construction Department of Europe’s Largest Airline Group.
This is an excellent time to join Ryanair as we aim to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300 million guests annually within the next 10 years.
This is an exciting role as the successful candidate will be integral in developing Aircraft Hangars, Flight Simulator Facilities, New Base setups, and various other construction projects to support our current fleet of 618 aircraft, which will increase in the coming years.
The successful candidate will work on projects from feasibility analysis through to completion, engaging with contractors and design team members.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Preparation of feasibility documents for projects, including initial layouts in AutoCAD. This involves site visits and developing schemes that meet our needs. Larger projects will be further developed by Design Professionals.
* Monitoring all construction projects and visiting sites regularly to assess progress versus plans, generating reports. This will require European travel.
* Assessing and recommending main contractor tenders.
* Assisting in producing construction contract conditions and specifications to ensure delivery of our requirements.
* Liaising with airport authorities and planning departments to ensure project compliance.
* Controlling utilities connections and contracts to ensure timely delivery.
* Liaising with contractors and sub-contractors, monitoring performance in terms of time, cost, quality, and health and safety.
Requirements
* Degree or recognized diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Building Surveying, or related discipline.
* Excellent IT skills, particularly strong AutoCAD proficiency.
* At least 3 years of experience working on construction projects.
* Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
* A self-starter capable of operating effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Confident and upbeat personality.
