Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead our team towards achieving sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting the Store Manager in effectively running all store operations, including setting clear sales goals, tracking performance, and evolving processes to ensure continuous store growth.
2. Creating a positive team culture through recruiting, training, and developing staff, building a motivated and high-performing team that drives store success.
3. Analysing sales data and financial reports to make informed decisions, identifying areas of opportunity operationally and commercially.
4. Acting as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager's absence, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries professionally.
5. Managing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, supporting cash management tasks, and participating in hiring and onboarding new employees.
6. Providing feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance and contributing to maintaining colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
Key Objectives and KPIs
1. Contribute to achieving or exceeding the stores' monthly sales target.
2. Drive additional KPIs, including Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT, and upselling or cross-selling targets.
3. Maintain a high Net Promoter Score and ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
4. Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training requirements and achieve employee satisfaction or engagement survey results that meet or exceed company benchmarks.
5. Assist in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.
Requirements
1. Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment.
2. Prior experience of coaching and developing individuals, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
3. A keen eye for detail and commerciality, with previous experience in analysing KPI data to inform commercial decisions.
