Assistant Parliamentary Counsel Grade II
The Office of the Parliamentary Counsel to the Government is a part of the Office of the Attorney General.
The Assistant Parliamentary Counsel Grade II will be part of a team of lawyers who draft Government Bills, including Bills to amend the Constitution, and amendments to Bills. They will also draft Government Orders and some statutory instruments made by Ministers, including instruments for EU obligations.
Applicants must be called to the Bar of Ireland and enrolled as a Barrister or Solicitor in the State, with significant experience. They should have the ability to analyze complex legal issues and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Successful candidates will be placed on a merit panel for current and future vacancies.
