Job Summary
The Director of Nursing is a key member of the Hospital's Leadership team. This role requires strong leadership and collaborative skills to engage with colleagues in delivering safe, high-quality patient-centred services and outcomes.
The successful candidate will provide strategic, professional, and clinical leadership for the nursing multidisciplinary team, embracing continuous quality improvement and change leadership to achieve organisational objectives.
This role includes:
* Responsible for the effective delivery of all nursing services, focusing on quality care, positive patient experience, performance management, and productivity.
* Collaborate with the quality team to promote the quality agenda and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
* Work closely with the Leadership Team on business continuity and emergency plans.
* Develop and implement strategic plans for nursing services that align with the organisation's goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Deliver on recruitment and retention goals in line with the hospital's strategy.
* Lead on transformational change to enable effective delivery of hospital strategy.
* Proactively engage clinicians in evolving clinical services to provide best patient outcomes.
About You
We are looking for an individual who possesses:
* Registration in the general division of the register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.
* Educated to Masters Level in Healthcare or Business.
* At least five years' experience working in a senior management position in a similar environment.
* Extensive experience of leading successful change in a patient-centred care delivery environment.
* Demonstrates an understanding of financial management and control.
* Extensive knowledge of organisational management and development.
* A track record of positive team engagement.
