The role
Job Description
This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover).
Reporting to the Senior HR Risk Consultant (Europe), this role will be a key member of the HR Risk team, supporting the team with the management and delivery of the various daily First Line of Defence (FLOD) program activities in HR. The role is critical to ensuring the continued identification and sustainable remediation of regulatory and operational risks within Human Resources.
Accountabilities for your role

Development, implementation and maintenance of the HR Risk frameworks, policies, procedures and controls supporting HR’s compliance with both regulatory and operational requirements.
Provision of authoritative regulatory advisory leadership and guidance to HR regarding the interpretation, application and implications of relevant regulations (e.g., Corporate Governance, Data Protection, Remuneration, Individual Accountability Regime (Ireland and UK), Pay Transparency etc.), translating regulatory expectations into clear, actionable directions and ensuring timely and effective integration into HR policies, procedures, programs and control frameworks.
Provide senior risk advisory expertise to the HR Leadership Team, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating HR‑related regulatory and operational risks across all jurisdictions.
Demonstrate senior-level professionalism and resilience, delivering high-quality outcomes at pace, exercising sound judgement, and maintaining strong attention to detail in a complex regulatory environment.
Be a dedicated point of contact within the bank for all HR Risk matters including escalations from all levels of management, oversight functions and operational leadership.
Lead HR’s engagement with audits, regulatory reviews, and assurance activities, acting as the primary point of contact, coordinating responses, driving timely remediation, and providing clear senior management updates.
Direct and influence vendor and third‑party risk management activities within HR, including due diligence, contract risk considerations, ongoing performance monitoring, and KPI oversight.
Coordinate the processing of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and privacy events in line with regulatory timelines, with escalation to the Data Protection Office where necessary.
Support the HR Risk Team with administrative duties such as maintaining and updating relevant registers such Code of Conduct and Conflicts of Interest, Data Protection and Employment Regulations, tracking and reporting of operational risk/loss metrics, drafting presentations and quality assurance testing.
Ensuring all HR programmes are safe and sound from a regulatory perspective and the operational processes are being executed in accordance with the relevant internal policies and procedures and the applicable jurisdictional regulations, codes of conduct, legislations, and laws.
Responsible for managing and tracking the quarterly review of regulation (e.g., Corporate Governance, Data Protection, Remuneration, Individual Accountability Regime (Ireland and UK) etc.).
Development and monitoring of HR policies, procedures, programs and controls and ensuring the retention of accurate data to support HR operations.
Conduct and/or collaborate on periodic reviews to assess the level of regulatory and operational compliance within HR.
Identify gaps and/or areas for enhancement in HR processes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the bank, including collaboration with Compliance, business lines, audit teams and HR leadership team.
Drive continuous improvements and change, ensure the team continues to evolve and grow, delivering value add outcomes for both HR and the bank.

Qualifications Required to perform your Role

5-10 years experience in financial services, with operational experience in risk and compliance.
Professionally resilient, results (both quality and timeliness) driven, with impeccable attention to detail in performance of all tasks.
Experience in developing, implementing, and managing frameworks, policies and procedures.
Demonstrable experience of interaction, influencing and reaching agreed upon solutions.
Demonstrable achievement in creating and delivering successful process or policy change.
Proven track record of working on own initiative and delivering practical outcomes to a professional standard.
Experience in managing and/or different stakeholders across different business lines.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Collaborative in approach with strong emphasis on delivery and execution.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to develop and articulate vision and direction.
Intermediate computer skills are needed; including experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
