Cairn plc. has a unique opportunity for a high-calibre Business Development Executive within the Business Development Team, to assist in the origination, agreement, and growth of Cairn’s State Partnerships, identifying and agreeing the sales of Social, Affordable, and Cost Rental homes across Cairn’s current and prospective landbank.
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities and requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the proposal and agreement of sales and new State partnership opportunities.
2. Prepare investment presentations and analysis to inform future partnership strategy.
3. Research and maintain understanding of local area housing demand to identify specific Local Authority housing needs across the country.
4. Manage commercial agreements of Part V process across internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely agreement to align with project timelines.
5. Produce and communicate accurate sales updates for Senior Management and key stakeholders.
6. Lead the preparation of accurate tender documentation for submission as part of new partnership opportunities.
7. Contribute to the identification and agreement of new market opportunities to ensure business strategy aligns with market conditions and delivers maximum value to Cairn.
8. Adopt an agile approach to deliver on Cairn’s housing portfolio and actively identify further growth opportunities.
The Candidate
1. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in real estate with a background in Property Economics, Property Development, Commercial Agency, or Estate Management.
2. Commercial valuation and/or agency experience is a distinct advantage.
3. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
4. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent working knowledge of the latest market norms, end-user, and investor requirements.
7. Ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.
8. Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
