This role will be responsible for key elements of financial control and governance for the Northern Ireland division.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Financial Control:
* Support on technical accounting matters, controls, and governance.
* Preparation and review of periodic and quarterly key balance sheet reconciliations.
* Complete the quarterly MACSAC (internal control checklist).
* Review of NI VAT return to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Fixed assets:
* Work with stakeholders to compile budgets and forecasts for capital expenditure and depreciation.
* Complete impairment reviews for assets and assess any risks.
* Support Capex budget holders on business cases and payback calculations; assist in delivering the Capital Acquisition Request (CAR) process and reporting.
Working capital management:
* Prepare budgets and forecasts for working capital, cash, and associated KPIs.
* Provide periodic reporting with analytical commentary.
Intercompany Reconciliation:
* Reconcile intercompany accounts, resolve variances, and analyze root causes.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives related to intercompany processes.
Other responsibilities:
* Support the direct report to deliver their role and objectives.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, seeking opportunities to optimize finance processes.
The successful candidate will have:
* Qualified accountant with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
* Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied workload.
* Highly numeric and technical with strong attention to detail.
* Strong system orientation; Oracle R12 experience is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build cross-functional relationships.
* Self-motivated and capable of working under pressure.
