Purpose and Scope of the Role
The purpose of this post is to provide strong strategic, operational, and professional leadership to CHI, covering all aspects of finance and procurement.
Reporting to the Chief Executive (CEO), the Chief Finance Officer is a key member of the Executive Management Team and will provide commercial and financial expertise and advice to the Board, CEO, and senior management to ensure the immediate and long-term financial viability of the organization.
The Chief Finance Officer works closely with the CEO by contributing to the development of the organization’s strategy across all areas, challenging assumptions, and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial and commercial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers. The role also involves ensuring regulatory requirements are met and acting as a key interface with internal and external audit.
Provide financial and strategic leadership for the new children’s hospital programme, working closely with the CHI Chief Transformation Officer regarding business cases, commissioning budgets, workforce plans, etc.
Lead the transformation of the Finance and Procurement functions to ensure they fully optimize the digital investment in the new Children’s Hospital.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
* A minimum level 8 NFQ (or international equivalent) qualification in Finance
* Membership of a recognized or prescribed accountancy body such as ACCA, CPA, ACMA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent
* Minimum of 10 years’ postgraduate experience in a relevant role
* Minimum of 7 years’ experience in senior or executive management in health or social care organizations or other large, complex public or private sector organizations, with a demonstrable track record of high-level achievement against challenging performance targets
