A leading reinsurer is seeking an accomplished Risk Actuary to lead strategic initiatives across Property & Casualty and Life & Health portfolios. You will oversee capital and risk management activities, drive business planning, and influence key decisions at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities
* Internal Model Leadership: Develop and implement the annual validation program; review quarterly model results and present findings to senior stakeholders.
* Capital Management: Lead the development of regulatory reports, ensure consistency with business objectives, and assess solvency over the planning horizon.
* Regulatory Reporting & Governance: Oversee calculations, submissions, and preparation of materials for senior committees and executives.
* Risk Framework & Oversight: Maintain the risk management framework, risk registers, and controls; review capital, liquidity, and risk implications of new business and material changes.
* Market Insight: Deliver analytical analyses, emerging risk evaluations, and operational resilience oversight; mentor a team to high-quality outputs.
Requirements
* Qualified actuary with 6-8 years of post-qualification experience in risk or capital management.
* Strong technical and analytical skills, with familiarity with Solvency II (internal model and/or standard formula).
* Experience in reinsurance (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health) is desirable.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
* Organized leader with a coaching mindset, able to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
