The Head of Transformation will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing the Transformation Office, supporting the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across the organisation and partnering with the organisation in strategy development. Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, this role will ensure that all transformation programmes are developed, governed, and delivered to the highest standards, realising targeted benefits and supporting the delivery of the business strategy.Key Responsibilities:Establish and Govern PMO Practices: Develop, implement, and continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks to support the transformation agenda.Portfolio Management: Oversee the transformation project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, effective resource allocation, and timely delivery of initiatives.Governance: Define appropriate content and agendas for meetings to ensure effective communication with stakeholders on the direction of the transformation, challenges, risks and benefits.Project Management Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring best practices in project delivery, risk management, and benefits realisation.Strategy Development: Partner with the organisation in strategy development and drive the future of the transformation programme.Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact and trusted partner for Executive team, senior leadership, project sponsors, project leads, and cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and decision-making.Reporting and Transparency: Manage project reporting, including progress updates, risk and issue reporting, and benefits tracking for executive and board-level audiences.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance project delivery, efficiency, and value realisation across the transformation portfolio.Resource Management: Oversee allocation and management of project resources, including internal teams and third-party consultants.Change Management: Support the design and implementation of change initiatives, ensuring effective adoption and sustained benefits.Key Relationships:Transformation Office TeamProgramme and Project Sponsors and LeadsExecutive TeamFunctional and Divisional Management TeamsExternal Consultants and PartnersThe successful candidate will have/be:7-10+ years post qualification experience including at least 5+ years' experience in a PMO or senior project management role, ideally within large-scale transformation programs.Proven track record of managing complex project portfolios and leading cross-functional teams.Exceptional interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous work environment, and the confidence to challenge assumptions & implement change.A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Advanced proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint).Relevant third-level qualification (e.g. Business, IT, or related discipline) or experience.Experience in change management and benefits realisation is highly desirable.Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.Experience in consultancy within project management environments, including advising stakeholders and driving successful project delivery is desirable.Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
